| Hellbender "Cryptobranchus alleganiensis". The Hellbender is the largest amphibian in the United States, second largest in the world. Hellbenders are unusual and harmless amphibians. They are totally subsurface aquatic and breathe by absorbing oxygen from the water through their skin. The intention of this photograph was to show the body shape of the amphibian in it's natural habitat, no intent on composition was considered. Depth was~3ffw. |
