Octopus are very intelligent and gifted with the art of changing color at the "blink of an eye". This Octopus is fairly large for a South Pacific variety. Photograph was taken at Muscoti Channel, Papua New Guinea. The intention of this macro photograph was to show some secondary detail of the Octopus's  bodily texture/color with attention focused to the eye.
